The department of Allergology is where we perform in-vitro allergy diagnostics. In addition to skin tests, laboratory tests are a key part of allergy diagnostics after taking the medical history.

Allergy tests should be chosen directly in accordance with the anamnesis. The clinically most important in-vitro test is the quantitative determination of allergen-specific IgE antibodies using ImmunoCap. The majority of allergic diseases can be resolved with a basic spectrum of just a few common allergens. In addition to the extracts manufactured from natural sources of allergens, recent years have also seen highly purified or recombinant i.e. allergen components manufactured using biotechnological processes being used for in-vitro diagnostics.
